Hi there, I'm April!

I am a wedding and family photographer with a heart for storytelling and a love for capturing the real, raw, and joy-filled moments that make life beautiful. Based in Southern Ontario I specialize in weddings, engagements, and family photography — with a style that’s warm, natural, and emotionally rich.

My favorite part of any wedding day is the quiet, love-filled moments between the couple — those unscripted glances, soft touches, and genuine smiles that tell a story all their own. I’m drawn to soft light, earthy tones, and the kind of images that feel timeless.

Whether we’re celebrating your big day, capturing your growing family, or documenting your love story just because — I’m here to help you feel comfortable, be fully present, and walk away with photographs that feel like you.

Let’s tell your story, beautifully.

FAQ

What do you love most about capturing weddings?

What I love most about capturing weddings is the emotion — the real, unfiltered kind. There’s something incredibly special about being invited into such a meaningful day and having the honour to preserve the quiet moments, the joyful tears, the laughter, and the deep connection between two people starting a new chapter together. It’s more than just photos — it’s storytelling, and that lights me up.

How would you describe your photography style?

My style is warm, natural, and emotionally rich. I lean into soft lighting, earthy tones, and images that feel timeless. I love capturing candid moments over posed ones — the kind of photos that take you back to exactly how it felt.

What is your favourite moment to capture during a wedding?

My favourite moment is hands-down the bridal portraits — especially right after the ceremony, when the nerves have settled and it’s just the two of you soaking it all in. There’s such a quiet magic in those moments — the way you look at each other, the laughter, the closeness — it’s my favourite kind of storytelling.

What is your favourite wedding venue/location to capture?

I’m always inspired by venues that feel natural, romantic, and a little bit earthy — think outdoor ceremonies, vineyards, rustic barns, or golden fields at sunset. But honestly, any place where a couple is fully present and in love becomes my favourite place to shoot.

What advice do you have for couples to feel more comfortable in front of the camera?

The best thing you can do is just focus on each other. Don’t worry about the camera or what you think you should be doing — I’ll gently guide you through everything. The most beautiful photos come when you’re just being yourselves, soaking in the moment, and forgetting there’s even a lens between us.
